It is amazing what can be done with a single still/video camera, a decent lens, and a good eye. Most of these shorts are shot with natural/existing light, yet are able to convey mood, clarity, and in some cases a very theatrical feel. Hey, even SNL is in on the trend, with their current intro sequence shot with DSLRs. Of course, these cameras excel in particular at shallow depth-of-field, so many of the sequences tap that ability – generally to great effect. All in all, inspiring stuff.
