These little sculptures are crafted in metal using 3-D printing of mathematical models by crafting and math genius Bathsheba. My colleague and friend Lauren likes to bring neat little artifacts into work, and when she started talking these up a month or two ago, I was intrigued. I didn’t quite grok the magical quality of the sculptures, though, until they arrived and I had a chance to hold, fondle and inspect them. Lauren has three of these mini spheres, of varying patterns. They are truly mesmerizing to hold and touch.
